I started 32nd and finished last, but in between was great. At the start they rocketed past me dropping me to 38th. I was finally able to get back in line and started running with them. There were two drafting lines. I was in the low line. If a person didn't know any better some of the cars looked like they were working the track to find the fastest line. I made it three wide a couple of times (with me in the middle) to pick up a couple of positions. My setup was extremely good in turns 1 and 2 but pushed a bit in 3 and 4. I wasn't gaining any on the leaders so I went high and let a car get in front of me. I followed in his draft and we began moving up on the leaders. Once we got close to the lead pack I tried to go around the car I was drafting but every time I made the attempt I had to fight off the car behind me. Finally there was a wreck in turn 4. I could see it as I went into turn 3 so I went high and made it through. The caution flew and I was in 20th. I pitted, loosened up the car abit and came out in 24th. On the restart about 4 cars blew past me. I was finally able to fall in line and begin picking off some spots. There were two drafting lines again. I wasn't able to do anything high or low so I tried the middle again. I was doing good through turn 1, then in turn 2 I slid up too high, clipped the rear end of a car and went spinning, ending my day on about lap 40. Man that was some fun racing. I only saw 3 glitches during the race. They may not even be glitches because I've seen stranger things in actual races. LOL. The wreck in turn 4 happen because a car went off the apron of the track then shot back up into the groove. One car during the race seemed to shoot up high and stop. On the replay it seemed to slide into the wall. During caution the cars suddenly stopped for a second and went into their "panic mode" turning sideways on the track. If you do any more work in the AI please do send it on to me. Regardless I'm definitely going to race some more at EagleII. Thanks again, C.J. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- note You can run the trucks @ eagleII now keep in mind (testing of a truck race is not completed at this time. 6.20.2000) here's the truck's ratings from testing ran so far to get you in the ballpark; Aggression 150-999 car drag 101-111 car power 175-999 qualifying 400-800 road course 475-725 short track 475-925 superspeedway 175-950 This is a work in progress in many ways despite a few bugs this turned out better than my final effort Once you start following the way Papyrus writes their AI it gets too predictable so in an effort to push the AI to the limit I gave them multiple files to read off of they seem at times to get confused but what else is new it's based off Sierra stuff. N4 better, we will see? (ZING) Qualify @ 100% opponent strength with the setup named eagle and try for the pole or start from the back of the pack for a real challenge. good luck Start with a fresh install of the EagleII track and then add the contents of the zip to it. Have a blast, enjoy the 2 trk. files INDY (H.R.)
