Lets start our drive through. On the first lap if you are on the outside you will have a slight advantage over the pole sitter because of the higher traction available. Gear tweaking could help or hinder at the start depending if you are in the lower or higher groove. If you get the high groove you can keep your foot into it all the way through the first and second corners getting an advantage over your competition who is below you. Once you are up to speed on the second lap this is where being smooth with your steering and throttle will get you your best times. Coming across the start finish line you must be high, at that point. Turn slowly into the low line. This is the only corner you don't have to lift on slightly but be careful on the exit as you will come out close to the wall. This will now set you up for accelerating into the sharpest of the turns on the track. This is a fact you will notice when you start tweaking setups as you can have this corner setup perfect and be too loose on the next one. Once you get to the point indicated on my line graph ease off the throttle and an instant later turn into the lower groove and initate a very slight slide. As soon as you have reached the the inside fence you should start to slowly get back into the gas. This may force you to reverse lock steer slightly in order to maintain your line and momentum. This will change though as your tires wear. Now drift out to the high groove up by the wall, get up to speed and ready to set up the next corner which can be the toughest to get right every time. Using the graph again for reference, get off the gas at the end of the straightaway, turn into the corner and get down into the lower groove. Initate your slide but again do it slightly. Kicking your back end out too hard will cause you to oversteer into the infield or break traction completely shooting your backend up into the wall. Reverse lock steer if neceesary to maintain your line and exit up into the high groove.
